Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, starting with NASA and the Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space and has now employed as a White House reporter for FOX News, covering Biden and Trump Administrations' positions regarding space-related issues. Over the course of that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' initiatives. The extensive trips she took with the President and Vice-President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan, which she took together with Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the CBS network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Utilizing her expertise on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which specialized in making documentary-style films for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
